Between then and now, I have continued to write and in 2007, my novel, “Meeting Coty” was published by Kings Hart Books (www.kingshartbooks.co.uk) IBSN 978-1-906154-03-5

Meeting Coty” follows the Spanish born Tessa Garcia’s quest to work for the perfume giant, Francois Coty, in the early 1920’s. Brought up in a large, traditional family in London, she escapes all the prejudices thrown at a woman of her position. Even the biggest hurdle of all. Love.

Her elder sister believed herself to be the Madonna Incarnate.
Her mother spent entire days lying in bed, as still as a corpse…
While her father hid in his study eating liquorice allsorts.
One brother had a passion for the newly invented biplanes.
The other four ran the family business, importing sherry from Spain.

And Tessa?
Tessa decapitated flowers and plunged their heads into aromatic waters, submerged herself in death, wounded herself with love and dreamed of meeting Coty.’

I am currently working on its sequel, “Leaving Coty,”

Leaving Coty” places Tessa in the position of wanting to leave Francois Coty’s employ without him thinking her disloyal. Although another member of staff at the Coty Headquarters in France plots to expose her intentions, she cleverly protects her relationship with the man she had striven to work with. Coty, ever astute, asks her to help him write his biography. She does not realise that this is to test her loyalty, until, the task complete, he reveals that he always knew of her desires. However, through revealing his life to her, he unintentionally forces her to realise where her real loyalties lie. Throughout the book, Tessa becomes increasingly aware that she must once again earn the trust and love of the man she once spurned. The task is made all the harder because this time she now knows
